Senior Mergers & Acquisitions Underwriter
Are you someone with significant experience in the Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) insurance market? Then we have just the role for you!
A bit about the job:
You will join the M&A team in Global Corporate and Specialty (GCS). The successful individual will be underwriting time sensitive Warranties & Indemnity, Tax & Contingency insurance products, which are the main products in the M&A insurance suite.
Within this role, you will be responsible for new business in line with GCS strategy, and in line with agreed delegated underwriting authority limits. You will be confident when conversing with collaborators both internally and externally to deliver business objectives.
You will liaise with key collaborators from our broker panel, along with leading technical conversations with your team so strong communication skills and time management will be important to this role.
This position will suit a motivated and professional individual who is keen to progress their career within a market leading insurer.
We can be flexible on location however, travel to our London office and internationally will be required.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
In-depth knowledge of complex Warranties & Indemnity underwriting, markets & cover
Tax & Contingency underwriting experience & Experienced Corporate Lawyer – advantageous
Proficient in the structuring and placement of complex multi-jurisdictional & international insurance programs
Build and maintain positive relationships with brokers, agents, and clients to drive business growth. A strong market profile & connections is preferred.
Good negotiating skills along with experience training junior members of staff
