About the Team
The Intensive Family Support Service (IFSS) provides intensive early help to whole families who have interconnecting needs.
IFFS teams work closely with social work colleagues and jointly with a broad range of local community partners, so families can receive help that is meaningful to them, and early enough to avoid the need for statutory interventions. We want to maximise these partnership opportunities and work together with families to enable better outcomes for children, as per the national Supporting Families Outcomes Framework.

About the Role
We are seeking someone who can lead with purpose and make a positive impact!
As a Team Manager you will oversee the day-to-day operations of an IFSS quadrant team of skilled practitioners. The team comprises two Senior Family Intervention Workers and up to six Family Intervention Workers. Your focus will be on ensuring your team feels equipped, supported and motivated, fostering a positive team culture with a commitment to excellent practices. Managing the operational effectiveness of the team will include allocating and prioritising work, and ensuring that case records, assessments and plans for all children and families are maintained in line with practice standards and policy. Regular case work supervision and audit will be conducted to improve outcomes for children, young people, and families.
In this role you’ll develop local partnerships including with police, health, education, housing, employment and benefits, leisure, mental health services and a wide range of local groups from the Voluntary Sector; actively seeking opportunities to support families collaboratively within their communities. Your goal will be to contribute to the creation of a cohesive model of early help, always prioritising the needs of the family and offering support to colleagues when needed. Working collaboratively with our partners you will provide effective and efficient services within budget and on time with an emphasis on facilitating relevant support services and identifying and addressing problems early to prevent escalation.
